Brian A’Hearn received a PhD in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1994. He has worked at both teaching- and research-focused institutions in Germany, the US and the UK, and is currently fellow in economics at Pembroke College, University of Oxford. His areas of interest include technology, cities and regions, institutions, human capital, and living standards in modern Europe.
