Young Scholars from all over Asia will convene in order to pursue their interest in new economic thinking together and to strengthen the YSI network in Asia.
17 YSI working groups will hold separate meetings for young scholars as well as more than 30 senior economists and social thinkers. Please find the call for abstracts from each working group on the left.
Jayati Ghosh: Jayati Ghosh is a development economist and Professor of Economics at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, School of Social Sciences, at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, in New Delhi, India. Her specialities include globalization, international finance, employment patterns in developing countries, macroeconomic policy, and issues related to gender and development.
Danny Quah: Danny Quah is Li Ka Shing Professor in Economics at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Quah’s work includes contributions to the fields of economic growth, development economics, monetary economics, macroeconometrics, and the weightless economy.
Peter Frankopan: Peter Frankopan is Professor of Global History at Oxford University, where he is also Senior Research Fellow at Worcester College, Oxford and Director of the Oxford Centre for Byzantine Research. Frankopan is the author of The Silk Roads: A New History of the World.
